Miguel In Suk Lovato is a dad, educator, and changemaker from northwest Aurora.

A graduate of Aurora Central High School (1989), Miguel In Suk Lovato has lived in northwest Aurora since childhood. He was the first in his family to graduate from high school and earn bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Colorado Denver. He has worked directly with low-income and at-risk youth as a teacher, program manager, nonprofit director, and youth mentor. Since 2000, Miguel has worked with the Daniels Fund, one of the largest private foundations in the region. He manages a multimillion-dollar grantmaking budget for aging and disabilities organizations in the Denver-metro area and for cradle-to-career educational efforts across the state of New Mexico. Miguel lives in northwest Aurora with his wife Tara, their five-year-old daughter, and Maisie, their dog.
